Confessions will be heard on Sunday mornings from 9:15-9:45am and by appointment. All faithful are encouraged to come to the Sacrament every 8 weeks, on average, to help maintain spiritual health. This is especially for those who frequently “with Faith and with Love come forward” to receive the Body and Blood of Christ!

Deepest sympathies are extended to Very Rev. Samuel Sherry (Niles. IL) and family on the ‘falling asleep in the Lord’ of his father +Samuel this past Friday. Funeral Services will be in Wilpen, PA on Tuesday. Please keep the Sherry family in your prayers. (Memory Eternal!)

LAST CALL: Home Blessings have begun and will continue until Saturday 1 March. Please either fill out a form or see Father as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. Forms are available on the information table in the parish hall.

Volunteers are needed for the March Coffee Socials. Please sign up today so that we can know we have the people to take care of the weekly social. Thank you.

LAST CALL: We are now working on the latest edition of the parish directory. If there are any changes or corrections to addresses, phone numbers or emails, please notify Sheila Hrapchak today. (email her at hrapchak@juno.com)

The Annual Parish Meeting of Holy Resurrection Orthodox Church will take place on today, 24 Feb (snow date 9 March) 2008. All members of the parish family who are in sacramental and financial good standing are asked to attend. This is the third of three official announcements.

CASH DAY is Sunday 2 March following the Coffee Social. Tickets are now available from Nick Dzubak. As usual, tickets are $10.00 each. It is important that our parishioners purchase and sell as many as possible. Time is short to sell all 300 tickets! All tickets, and donations, need to be handed in to Nick no later than today! Your participation is appreciated!

ALSO: a sign-up sheet is posted for food donations and reservations. Please sign up if you plan to attend!

The ACRY Bowling Tournament Raffle tickets have arrived! Top prize is $250.00! Tickets are on sale until Sunday 9 March. Drawing is 16 March. See Faith Breno for tickets.

The Orthodox Study Bibles are here! If you ordered and pre-paid, please see Gina Verbrugge to pick up your copy. If you would still like to purchase a copy we have extras available for $35.00 each.

All Souls Saturdays for this year are 1, 22 & 29 March and 5 April. Please give Father the names of the departed of your loved ones so that they can be remembered during the Divine Services.

Make summer plans now: our deanery week at Camp Nazareth will be 20-26 July 2008. Camp Forms and other information will be distributed as soon as it becomes available.

St. Thomas Mission Parish is organizing a sky trip to Timberline Resort in Davis, WV on 21-23 March. Any of our parishioners interested in attending are asked to call Steve Hall (301-627-4676).

Do you miss being able to be at Divine Liturgy when you are sick at home and cannot make it to church? St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church on 10th St. in Manhattan has a solution. A toll-free number is available to be able to listen to the Liturgy LIVE over the phone every Sunday morning at 10am. Simply call 1-800-910-3597. Enter code (2546685#) and state your name. The phone will mute so that you can hear them but they cannot hear you.

Mark your calendars for the following Bake Days: 23 February; 8 & 15 March, 12 & 19 April. We also have an ‘extra date’ set aside in case we need it: 23 March. The Sign up sheet for helpers is posted on the bulletin board in the parish hall. This bake season we are offering to our helpers of 3 hours or more ½ roll or 1 small bread. (one per family. If you wish to accumulate your rolls or breads, please notify Randy Verbrugge)
