Holy  Night  Supper
I would like to thank everyone who participated in the parish Holy Night Supper this past evening.  It was a joy being able to share this traditional meal of our faith with members of our parish and guests.

No Fasting Prescribed
There is no fasting this week because of the Feast of the Lord¹s Nativity.  Rejoice and be glad for God is with us.  Enjoy the Feast.

Bagged Lunches
The Social Concerns Committee will be making up bagged lunches on January 14 following the Divine Liturgy.  The lunches will be for the homeless shelter
in Rockville.  We can help support the local homeless in this small way by aiding the shelter in supplying for the daily needs of those they minister to at the shelter.  Everyone is invited to help with this project.  We will also prepare bag lunches on February 14.

On behalf of the parish I would like to thank everyone who helped make this time a festive season full of joy:  To all those who helped prepare the church;  Melanie Krynitsky for all the flower arrangements and wreaths; Faith Breno for taking care of the flower donations; All those who gave
towards the flowers;  Sheila Hrapchak and the Choir for singing so beautifully; The Jr. ACRY and others who decorated the Christmas Tree; The Sudik family who cleaned the candle globes.  And all those who helped with the services.  God¹s Blessings to all for your devoted work for God¹s House.

Iraq Talk
Daniel Timko will give a presentation about life in Iraq next Sunday. Daniel has spent time in Iraq serving in the U.S. Military.  The Talk will begin at 9:00 a.m. and run until 9:50 a.m.  The talk is being sponsored by the Sr. ACRY.

March For Life
The Annual March For Life will be held on Monday, January 22, in Washington, D.C. Also, the Sr. ACRY will be serving a lunch for those traveling to the March
from the Diocese.  Buses for the Johnstown and the Pittsburgh areas will be arriving in the morning between 10:00 a.m. and 10:30 a.m.

Super Bowl Sub Sale
The Jr. ACRY is having its annual Super Bowl Sub Sale.  The orders are due in by January 28. The Subs will be available for pick-up on February 4.  Order forms are attached to the bulletin and in the hall.  Please mark any
special requests on the order. The Jrs. will be making the sandwiches on Saturday morning on Feb. 3 in the parish hall.

Christian Unity Service
The annual Christian Unity Service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church located at 11200 Old Georgetown Rd in Bethesda.  The service will be held on Sunday, January 21, beginning at 3:00 p.m.  All are invited to attend.  (More information will follow.)


Iconastas Project
A project is in the works to put woodwork over the blue panels on each side of the Iconastas.  This project will enhance the beauty of the current Iconastas and bring more continuity to the icon screen.  If you would like
to make a donation towards the funds to be used in completing this project, please mark an envelope with Icon Screen Project and turn it in to the treasurer or place it in with your weekly donation to the Church.  Thank you
