Announcements:

Confessions will be heard on Sunday mornings from 8:45-9:15am and by appointment. All faithful are encouraged to come to the Sacrament every 8 weeks, on average, to help maintain spiritual health. This is especially for those who frequently “with Faith and with Love come forward” to receive the Body and Blood of Christ.

In case of emergency, if Father cannot be reached at the church or at the rectory, his cell phone number is 914-844-9057.

There will be a brief meeting of the Sunday School Faculty during the Coffee Social this morning. This is to give Father an update on classes.

A reminder to all parents: Sunday School Classes will begin on Sunday 9 September. Classes begin at 9:00am. Please make sure that your child(ren) are in class on time.

Any information for the bulletin should be given to Father by Thursday evening. Call the rectory, hand in a note or email.

Fr. Nectarios will be leading as tour to Greece from 5-11 November 2007. The tour will include stops at many holy & historical sites in Greece. Information on the tour and registration forms are available in the parish hall.

Saint Thomas Yard Sale Coming Soon: Our sister parish of Saint Thomas the Apostle in Waldorf will be holding
its annual Building Fund Yard Sale on Saturday, September 29th. The faithful of Saint Thomas are very appreciative of your past support, especially for your recent donation of rectory furnishings. If you have no-longer needed treasures at home that you would like to donate to this year's sale, please bring them to the church hall. To schedule a pick-up for larger items or quantities, please call Steve or Nancy Hall at (301) 627-4676. Last day for donations is Sunday, September 16th. Thank you again for your continued support.

As you can see, the woodwork is now being added to the icons on the walls. Please consider making a donation to help us reach our $20,000 goal this fall when the doors are finished. A donation form is located in the hall. Your donations now total $12,475 as of August 19. Thank you for your support! [$20,000-$12474=$7525 to go!]

Does anyone need boxes or cardboard, or even packing paper? If you do Father & Pani have plenty in the garage. Just ask during coffee hour and the garage will be opened for you.
