This is especially for those who frequently “with Faith and with Love come forward” to receive the Body and Blood of Christ.

In case of emergency, if Father cannot be reached at the church or at the rectory, his cell phone number is 914-844-9057.

A reminder: Sunday School Classes will begin on Sunday 9 September. Classes begin at 9:00am. Please make sure that your child(ren) are in class on time. The ‘regular schedule for Divine Liturgy (10am) also resumes next Sunday.

Deepest Sympathies are expressed to Pani Beverly Leasure and family (St. George Church, Taylor, PA) on the ‘falling asleep in the Lord’ of her mother +Irene Bokach. Funeral services will be held in Manville, NJ this Monday evening/Tuesday morning. May her Memory be Eternal! [Father Peter will be attending the Memorial Services. He will be away from the parish Monday afternoon until Tuesday evening.]

Saint Thomas Yard Sale Coming Soon: Our sister parish of Saint Thomas the Apostle in Waldorf will be holding its annual Building Fund Yard Sale on Saturday, September 29th. The faithful of Saint Thomas are very appreciative of your past support, especially for your recent donation of rectory furnishings. If you have no-longer needed treasures at home that you would like to donate to this year's sale, please bring them to the church hall. To schedule a pick-up for larger items or quantities, please call Steve or Nancy Hall at (301) 627-4676. Last day for donations is Sunday, September 16th. Thank you again for your continued support.

As you can see, the woodwork is now being added to the icons on the walls. Please consider making a donation to help us reach our $20,000 goal this fall when the doors are finished. A donation form is located in the hall. Your donations now total $12,475 as of August 19. Thank you for your support! [$20,000-$12874=$7125 to go!] Names of donors will be printed next week.

There will be a “Baking Day” on Saturday 22 September. A sign-up sheet will be posted next Sunday. We need as many hands as possible, so please try to make time to come and help.

Shelia Hrapchak is in the process of organizing a new parish directory. If you have any changes, additions or deletions to be made, please contact her no later than 23 September. (410-381-2924 or hrapchak@juno.com)

The Social Concerns Committee will be constructing sandwiches and assembling bagged lunches for the Rockville Men's Shelter on Sept. 16. This time we will be making 60 bagged lunches. We need as much help as possible, especially the youth--older ones help with the sandwiches under adult supervision and the little tots can put the juice, fruit and snack pkgs. in the bags.
