Announcements:
Confessions will be heard on Sunday mornings from 9:15-9:45am and by appointment. All faithful are encouraged to come to the Sacrament every 8 weeks, on average, to help maintain spiritual health. This is especially for those who frequently “with Faith and with Love come forward” to receive the Body and Blood of Christ!
Deepest sympathies are extended to the family of +Mary Kesselak, who ‘fell asleep in the Lord’ this past Tuesday, 9 January. Funeral services will be held tomorrow at Christ the Saviour Cathedral in
Please note that this Friday, 18 January, the Eve of Theophany, is a STRICT FAST DAY, meaning no meat or dairy products are to be eaten. Many families again prepare the meal of the “Holy Night Supper” as the evening meal. Then come to church to take part in the Great Blessing of Water.
Church Wall Calendars are available in the hall on the table at the bottom of the stairs. Please take as many as you need, but not more. If you know someone who needs a calendar, but cannot make it to church, please take one for them.
Home Blessings will begin after Liturgy on 19 January. If you wish to have your home blessed on the first day, please see Father after Divine Services today. Appointment request forms are available in the parish hall. Please fill out the form and place it in the collection basket as soon as possible. The forms will be returned to Father. Besides the forms, you may call the rectory to make an appointment. Thank you.
Volunteers are needed after Divine Services this morning to help assemble Bagged Lunches for the Rockville Shelter and also for the stuffing of envelopes for the 50th Anniversary mailings. Please stay to help.
A Capital Improvements committee is being established to assist the parish Council by obtaining bids from contractors or companies for major improvement projects. The committee members will request bids or estimates, review them, and recommend the best choice to the Council based on their research. In addition, the committee will also recommend a schedule of future major improvements to the Council. Please talk to Rose Plowchin for further information.
“Lots-O-Luck calendars” for 2008 [The National ACRY fundraiser], will be offered for sale from now until early January.

Mark your calendar: The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on Sunday 24 Feb (snow date 9 March) 2008. All members of the parish family who are in good sacramental and financial good standing are asked to attend.
