Announcements:

Confessions will be heard on Sunday mornings from 9:15-9:45am and by appointment. All faithful are encouraged to come to the Sacrament every 8 weeks, on average, to help maintain spiritual health. This is especially for those who frequently “with Faith and with Love come forward” to receive the Body and Blood of Christ!

Welcome to Father Deacon Robert, Sally & Nikoli Hubiak. They are visiting us today from Holy Trinity Church in Danbury, CT. Many Years! Mnohaja L’ita!

Home Blessings have begun and will continue until Saturday 1 March. Please either fill out a form or see Father as soon as possible to schedule an appointment. Forms are available on the information table in the parish hall. See the guide below as to preparing your home for the Priest’s arrival.

A Capital Improvements committee is being established to assist the parish Council by obtaining bids from contractors or companies for major improvement projects. The committee members will request bids or estimates, review them, and recommend the best choice to the Council based on their research. In addition, the committee will also recommend a schedule of future major improvements to the Council. Please talk to Rose Plowchin for further information.

Mark your calendar: The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on Sunday 24 Feb (snow date 9 March) 2008. All members of the parish family who are in good sacramental and financial good standing are asked to attend.

Make summer plans now: our deanery week at Camp Nazareth will be 20-26 July 2008. Camp Forms and other information will be distributed as soon as it becomes available.

When purchasing items from the bookstore, please do not leave money on the counter. Please hand it to Father or Lois Erhard. Thank You.

Order forms for the annual “Super Bowl Sub Sale” are due today. Please hand order forms to either Father or Paňi after Divine Services! Pick up date is 3 February. $1.00 of each sub sold will go to the IOCC “Souper Bowl of Caring”

Gertrude Hawk Candy orders for the Easter season are now available. Forms must be returned to either Father or Paňi no later than Sunday 17 February! (remember, the West has their Easter date of 23 March).

Do you miss being able to be at Divine Liturgy when you are sick at home and cannot make it to church? St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church on 10th St. in Manhattan has a solution. A toll-free number is available to be able to listen to the Liturgy LIVE over the phone every Sunday morning at 10am. Simply call 1-800-910-3597. Enter code (2546685#) and state your name. The phone will mute so that you can hear them but they cannot hear you.

Our HROC Choir had been invited to participate in the annual observance of the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity." The prayer service will be held today at 3PM at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Ave., Garrett Park. We ask as many of our Choir members as possible to be in attendance. Any new voices are also welcome. For details, please see Sheila. (The theme of this year’s service is “Pray without ceasing.”)

Many thanks to all who helped, in any way, with the March For Life Luncheon this past Tuesday. All the participants enjoyed the food and the fellowship. May God bless you for your labors! Many Years!

Volunteers are needed to help collate the reposts for the annual meeting packages. Collating will take place before Divine Services next Sunday, beginning at 9am. All helping hands are asked to meet in the church hall. For more information, please see Rose Plowchin.

If you are an organization president or committee chair, please prepare to report on your activities during 2007 and your plans for the future. If you are interested in running for an office, or in nominating someone, please inform our nominating committee chair, Dan Breno. If you are nominating someone, please confirm that he/she will be attending the meeting and is willing to serve. Attached are the duties for the officers to be elected this year.

Free to a good home: our Christmas Poinsettias need to find homes. If you are interested in taking one, or more, of these still beautiful plants home with you, just take them. Enjoy!

Attention Altar Boys: We will have an Altar Boy meeting following Divine Services on Sunday 17 February following Divine Services. All Altar Boys are to be in attendance! The purpose of this meeting is to be measured for new cassocks and dalmatics. We need to place the order early so that they may be ready for the 50th Anniversary!
