Welcome to all of our Family, Friends and Guests on this beautiful Feast of the Nativity of our Lord Jesus Christ! To all of you we say: Christ is Born! Glorify Him! Christos Razdajetsja! Slavite Jeho!

Because of the celebration of the Feast of the Nativity there is no fasting, except for the fast prior to receiving Communion, from today until the Eve of Theophany on 18 January. Enjoy the Feast!

Excuse notes for Christmas Day, Monday 7 January, are available in the hall for our elementary, middle school and high school students. Parents need only fill in the student’s name and sign.

Volunteers needed: Volunteers are needed next Sunday to help assemble bagged lunches for the Rockville Men’s Shelter. Also we will need help after the Coffee hour to stuff envelopes for our 50th Anniversary mailings. Please plan to stay and help with one or both projects.

Appointment request forms for home blessings are available in the parish hall. Please fill out the form and place it in the collection basket as soon as possible. The forms will be returned to Father. Besides the forms, you may call the rectory to make an appointment. Thank you.

”Lots-O-Luck calendars” for 2008 [The National ACRY fundraiser], will be offered for sale until mid-January.

Cost is $25 each. See Sheila to purchase them.

Church Wall Calendars are available in the hall on the table at the bottom of the stairs. Please take as many as you need, but not more. If you know someone who needs a calendar, but cannot make it to church, please take one for them.

Pan-Orthodox Christian Singles will have their next gathering on Saturday 12 January 2008. Directions to the event and party agenda are available on the parish hall info. table.

Do you miss being able to be at Divine Liturgy when you are sick at home and cannot make it to church? St. Nicholas of Myra Orthodox Church on 10th St. in Manhattan has a solution. 2008 Pledge Forms are past due! If you have not yet filled out a form, there are extras in the parish hall. If you have any questions, please refer them to either Mike Buchko, Jr. or Dan Breno.

Lifeline Screening (www.lifelinescreening.com) will be conducting health screenings in our hall on Monday 14 January. Pre-registration is required. Please call 1-800-324-1851 to schedule an appointment. Fliers are available in the parish hall. Please take one.

The next meeting of the Parish Council will be on Sunday 20 January. The next meeting of the Website Committee will be on Sunday 27 January. Please watch the bulletin for Jr. & Sr. ACRY meetings.

Make a note: The Annual Parish Meeting will take place on Sunday 24 Feb (snow date 9 March) 2008. All members of the parish family who are in good sacramental and financial good standing are asked to attend.

The Tamburitzans are in their 71st season of bringing the music, song and dance of Eastern Europe to those around the world.

Our HROC Choir had been invited to participate in the annual observance of the "Week of Prayer for Christian Unity." The prayer service will be held on Sunday, January 27th, at 3PM at Holy Cross Church, 4900 Strathmore Ave., Garrett Park. We ask as many of our Choir members as possible to be in attendance. Any new voices are also welcome. For details, please see Sheila. (The theme of this year’s service is “Pray without ceasing.”)
