Announcements:

Confessions will be heard on Sunday mornings from 9:15-9:45am and by appointment. All faithful are encouraged to come to the Sacrament every 8 weeks, on average, to help maintain spiritual health. This is especially for those who frequently “with Faith and with Love come forward” to receive the Body and Blood of Christ! [NOTE: final opportunity to have your Confession heard before Christmas will be after Divine Services on Christmas Eve. Confessions will not be heard on Christmas Day, no exceptions.]

A reminder that we are in the season of the Pre-Nativity (Advent) Fast. All fasting guidelines apply.

There is no coffee social scheduled for next Sunday. Please keep this in mind. Volunteers are asked to help set the hall for the Holy Night Supper later in the day.

The annual Parish family Hoy Night Supper is scheduled for Sunday 6 January at 5pm. A signup sheet is posted on the bulletin board for the Pot Luck. Any help that can be offered as to the set up for the hall would be appreciated. Please Note: Because Christmas falls on a Sunday, it is not a Strict Fast Day. Only a regular meat fast is required, though all are encouraged to still make the foods traditional to the Holy Night Supper.

LAST CALL: Please hand in Poinsettia donation slips are due TODAY! Slips should be handed into Faith Breno. Donations will be listed in the Christmas edition of the bulletin. There are extra slips available in the hall. Also due today are all candle donations for Christmas.

”Lots-O-Luck calendars” for 2008 [The National ACRY fundraiser], will be offered for sale from now until early January.

Cost is $25 each. See Sheila to purchase them.

Church Wall Calendars are available in the hall on the table at the bottom of the stairs. Please take as many as you need, but not more. If you know someone who needs a calendar, but cannot make it to church, please take one for them.

Pan-Orthodox Christian Singles will have their next gathering on Saturday 12 January 2008. Directions to the event and party agenda are available on the parish hall info. table.

Excuse notes for Christmas Day, Monday 7 January, are available in the hall for our elementary, middle school and high school students. Parents need only fill in the student’s name and sign.

Appointment request forms for home blessings are available in the parish hall. Please fill out the form and place it in the collection basket as soon as possible. The forms will be returned to Father. Besides the forms, you may call the rectory to make an appointment. Thank you.

Please keep in your prayers Fr. Karl Kish, who is going to the Middle East for a few weeks, beginning on 1 January. He will be going to serve post Christmas Services for our troops stationed in the desert. May God grant him safe travel and bring him home safely! Mnohaja L’ita! Many Years!
